The Islamic Countries Health Tourism Conference is a significant event dedicated to the expanding health tourism industry within the Islamic world. It gathers experts, professionals, and stakeholders from various Islamic nations to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in this field.

The Health Tourism Conferences of OIC Countries began in 2010 in Mashhad and continued for the next three years, also in Mashhad, in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Following the decisions made at the ICRIC Board Meeting on October 16, 2024, in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, the "5th Conference of Islamic Countries Health Tourism" is scheduled to be held from May 27-29, 2025, in the beautiful historical city of Isfahan, I.R. Iran.

The ICCD Secretariat has been requested to send a letter to the members' chambers, inviting participants from Health Tourism Centers, hospitals, tour operators, hotel owners, and other agencies that provide services in the health tourism sector. The goal is to encourage specialists and researchers active in health tourism within Islamic countries to participate and showcase the health tourism capacities of their nations.

Participants typically include healthcare providers, tourism agencies, government officials, and investors. The Islamic Countries Health Tourism Conference plays a crucial role in promoting the growth of health tourism in the Islamic world, advancing cross-cultural understanding, and ensuring high-quality healthcare services for patients from around the globe.

While the concept of health tourism within Islamic countries has existed for centuries, the formal establishment of the Islamic Countries Health Tourism Conference is a relatively recent development. Unfortunately, precise historical details about the conference's inception, including the exact year of its first gathering, are not readily available in current information sources.
